What started in 2014 as a simple idea, a cap stitched with “United We Stand” grew into something far greater than fashion. YDK was born from a love for Curaçao, the pride of our people and the Caribbean spirit. From those first designs, people began wearing not just a product, but a feeling: pride, unity, and ambition.
From hobby to legacy in motion From street corners in Curaçao to suitcases across the globe, YDK became something people took with them. It wasn’t just a brand anymore, and it wasn’t just Curaçao anymore. It became a movement of doers, dreamers, and those who proudly wear their roots wherever they go, irrespective of which island they came from. We moved to celebrate one shared culture.
The icon of homegrown greatness More than just a goat. The Kabritu concept became a cultural statement, a tribute to resilience and the greatest of all time. It captured the spirit of Curaçao’s grind and hustle. A wearable reminder that even the humblest beginnings can rise to greatness.
A symbol stitched into our heroes In 2023, we teamed up with the Curaçao NationalBaseball Team to produce the official hats for theplayers. The island’s pride became wearable, from thedugout to the streets. It was more than some hats, itwas a flag, a promise, a home-team heartbeat.
Taking YDK to the world via The Netherlands As our people moved, so did our purpose. YDK crossed oceansas we launched our website with inventory based locally in TheNetherlands. What began in Curaçao became a force inRotterdam, Amsterdam, and beyond - giving the diaspora apiece of home to wear wherever they landed.
Freedom, fire, and fearless expression Our collaboration with Chris Strick brought the raw spirit ofBiba Liber to life. The cap became more than an accessory, itturned into a movement of self-expression, rebellion, and livingfreely. Biba Liber is now one of our most iconic drops.
A growing community. Celebrating culture. From Curaçao to Rotterdam, the movement only got louder. Our TAF event proved one thing, we’re not just here; we’re here to stay.
A tribute to Curaçao’s fearless spirit. Inspired by the great Ergilio Hato, made for The Blue Wave tocontinue making history. Our aim was to unite culture, sport, andnational pride under one flag to support our Curaçao NationalSoccer Team.
Culture. Community. Confidence. YDK stands as a brand with small island roots, but big globaldreams. Our collections reflect identity, our pieces speaktradition, and our community is everywhere. We try to supportas many activities and people in the community as we can. We’re more than a brand. We’re a reminder of where you comefrom and how far you can go.
