History's Ours. Curaçao at the World Cup

Curaçao made history, and we were there to live it. 🇨🇼

As a brand born and raised on the island, supporting our National Team during the World Cup meant more to us than simply an opportunity to make a collection. It was about creating something that represented our people, our culture, and the feeling that came with seeing Curaçao on football’s biggest stage. We wanted to create a capsule that functioned as a gift to all supporters and team members alike, for everyone to remember this incredible achievement fondly. 

From the YDK Retro Tracksuit, YDK Jersey, Supporter Scarves, La Pantera Negra Trucker, Nos Tei Tees, and Jersey Shorts, we created pieces for a moment we knew would never happen again, our first debut at the World Cup. Every piece became part of the experience, worn in the stands, on the streets, during celebrations, and [wherever our people gathered to stand united behind our team]

Beyond the products, it was the memories that made WK26 unforgettable. The celebrations, the emotions, the people we met, the moments with the team, and watching the entire world come together behind one dream.

For YDK, this World Cup became a chapter in our own story too. We weren't just watching history happen. We were part of it.

Als merk dat op Curaçao is geboren en getogen, betekende het ondersteunen van ons nationale team tijdens het WK voor ons veel meer dan alleen de kans om een collectie te maken. Het ging erom iets te creëren dat onze mensen, onze cultuur en het gevoel vertegenwoordigde dat gepaard ging met het zien van Curaçao op het grootste podium van het voetbal. We wilden een capsulecollectie maken die voelde als een cadeau aan alle supporters en teamleden, zodat iedereen deze ongelooflijke prestatie voor altijd met trots zou kunnen herinneren.

Met de YDK Retro Tracksuit, YDK Jersey, Supporter Scarves, La Pantera Negra Trucker, Nos Tei Tees en Jersey Shorts creëerden we stukken voor een moment waarvan we wisten dat het nooit meer voor het eerst zou gebeuren: onze WK-debuut. Elk item werd onderdeel van de beleving, gedragen op de tribunes, op straat, tijdens vieringen en overal waar onze mensen samenkwamen om als één geheel achter ons team te staan.

Maar meer dan de producten waren het de herinneringen die WK26 onvergetelijk maakten. De vieringen, de emoties, de mensen die we ontmoetten, de momenten met het team en het zien hoe een heel eiland, en Curaçaoanen over de hele wereld, samenkwamen achter één droom.

Voor YDK werd dit WK ook een hoofdstuk in ons eigen verhaal. We waren niet alleen getuige van geschiedenis. We maakten er deel van uit.
